May We Never Forget!!May we never forget the the liberty and freedom that we have. There are so many soliders daily that fight for our freedom and many soliders in the past that has fought for our freedom too. May we never forget. Tuesday, is Veterans Day. If you know of a Veteran, take a moment and say "Thank You". Remember the Bible says," To give honor, to whom honor is due." I do believe that our military men and women are due this honor. Take a moment and think of all the freedoms we have in this wonderful nation. Never take it lightly! In God WE TRUST!! AMEN.

Which will you choose Faith or Fear?
Have you ever run away from something, disobeyed God, or started something and then backed down due fear?? Many of us have. I will be the first to take off my mask and admit to this one. Fear is a tactic the devil uses to hinder our faith and to keep us from accomplishing our purpose God has set for us to do. When the devil tries to put fear on you, remind him- and yourself- that you are anointed and you are a child of God. I recently read that the Greek word for "fear" means flight or running away from something. When fear comes, don't run away- don't let it stop you from going forward. Remember the devil will kill, steal and destroy. If he can paralyze you in fear then he has won the battle.
I am a living testimony of fear. Our family has been dealing with back injuries, finances, and possibilities of lay off. I decided one day that I am no longer going to give the devil power over me. I choose faith. I recently went to a Joel Olsten meeting and he talked about this too. He said that God knows the steps that are layed out before us. We will have trails. But this is a "controlled environment." He knew the problems that we deal with each and every day. It is up to us to choose how we are going to deal with these situations. The Bible says "Do not worry." God will provide. He has for along time and he will not stop now.
I was recently in Oklahoma City at a craft show and found this sign that I loved. It said " Faith is when you close your eyes and open your heart". What are you going to do today. Allow the devil to paralyze you or are you going to close your eyes and open your heart to God and let Him take care of you. I know what you are saying, " Are you insane?" Yes, insane for Jesus. Think about the fears he went through going to the cross. He knew what he had to do. Don't you think he might have been a bit fearful. But He gave it to His Father. He prayed, saying,Matthew 26:39 “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.” I read a devotional recently that really has helped me and encouraged me when I am in fear. They are only three little words " Do it afraid." Whoever said that servants of faith can't do it afraid? Don't let fear keep you from moving forward into God's good plan for your life. Choose to use faith and boldness and start enjoying the freedom from fear. So what are you going to choose? Faith or Fear? I choose faith.

Time Is Ticking

Time is just a ticking away. Wow it has been about 12 days since I lasted blogged. My thoughts have been rambling and trying to escape.
Taylor went shopping with her grandmother yesterday. Grandmother knew Taylor needed some nice black shoes since she is in MCC Choir. I thought to myself that is so sweet. Then they came home. Taylor was beaming! She was so excited and wanted to show dad and I her "new" shoes. I looked at them and they were a high heel shoe. This is a one to one and half inch heel. Not too high and she is able to walk in them. Then suddenly I thought to myself what!!! Where has time gone? I have already having a hard time dealing with her being a fifth grader let alone now heels!!!!
So this time the picture I post is Mikey and Minni Mouse. These Disney characters help keep our childhood youth. This was a time that was sweet and simple. No worries. Then time creeps up and Minni is dating Mickey. So I say cherish every moment like it is the last. Be mindful of how and what we say to others. I am definitely speaking to myself.
Look at the picture again. I always remembered Minni having worn a square heel. Look closely....... She is wearing Flats!!! Yippeee!!! Maybe there is still hope.

Food for Thought....

I have been thinking bout a friend of mine at church. She shared about this year being her first year of teaching and how teachers came in to see her class list. She shared that out of at least 6-7 teachers there was only one teacher that had something encouraging to say about her students. She explained how she felt that each year ought to be a slate clean for students. Which I loved to hear!! But then she shared something that I had thought of myself but was uneasy to do this due to the church/state "rules". She shared that she was going up to the school the day before school starts ( which was Sunday) and anoint the room and the chairs and pray over her class. I loved hearing that!! I was so excited!! Then I thought what if more teachers that are believers did that. Think about the impact that could happen in the class when you have God as the center of it all. This was shared at church and the pastor was too very impressed. He offered a bottle of anointing oil for any teacher that wanted to do this too.
So this is the food for thought... What if every teacher that is a believer did this? Can you imagine the outcome that would happen? How this would help the students in the class for learning and test results. Wow!!
My challenge to you is that even if you don't have that anointing oil that you too can pray over students. You never know what is going on in their lives and they too bring so many issues and pain with them. I pray that more people would have the boldness to do what this woman has done. I pray this for myself too.
Think about it.... hmmmmmmmmmm

Whats the Secret??

Have you ever wondered what is the Secret?? I think Victoria is cruel. Don't we all end up telling each other our secrets?? I know I have but not all of them. I am wondering is it good to have so many secrets?? Isn't best to be open and honest with each other. If we do this then we don't have to worry about it. Last of all, look at this picture. Do you want to look like this poor lady? She never found out what the secret is. How sad.
Ok I am babbling due to being tired again today. This going back to school stuff is really kicking my tush. I go to bed early and I feel rested in the morning. This is after I finally peel myself out of bed. LOL!! Then it is off to work. Still have not gotten all the work done for our class room. Everything has to be finished by Thursday and I am the only one working on it. So please keep me in prayer that I get All of this work done in time. Well, gotta go for now. I am going to go and get some rest. Talk tomorrow.

Couch Potato
Have you ever had those days where all you want to do is lay around and do Nothing. Today it has been raining which has been nice but all I want to do is lay around and not do a thing. I have to admit this morning I did clean out my closet. Which I am glad that I did. My gosh how we as people can hang onto trash. WOW!! But now I have a clean and organized closet. I even found clothes that I did not need ( too big) or I have not used in six months or longer. So this felt good to get rid of this excess junk. Now it is time to go shopping to replace the clothes I had to get rid of. I have been on a diet or lets just call it a "new way of eating". That always sounds better. Since I have been on this "new way of eating" I have lost weight. Which is a good thing. So now I have to replace the clothes so I will have nicer outfits for work besides t-shirts and shorts. Since I am a teacher aide I have to dress accordingly.
Well, like I said earlier that I have become a "couch potato" today. Now it is time to retreat back to the couch where it is nice and comfy.
Have a Blessed Day-

Bible vs. Cell Phone
Something to think about!
I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible the way we treat our cell phone?
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to our children as gifts?
What if we used it when we traveled?
What if we used it in case of emergency?
This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Bible?
Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill.
Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities?
And no dropped calls!

Believe God is there for you!
To those of us who have children in our lives, whether they are our own, grandchildren, nieces, nephews,or students...here is something to make you chuckle. Whenever your children are out of control, you can take comfort from the thought thateven God's omnipotence did not extendto His own children. After creating heaven and earth,God created Adam and Eve.And the first thing he said was"DON'T!"
"Don't what?"Adam replied.
"Don't eat the forbidden fruit."God said.
"Forbidden fruit? We have forbidden fruit?Hey Eve..we have forbidden fruit!"
"No Way!"
"Yes way!"
"Do NOT eat the fruit! "said God.
"Why?"
"Because I am your Father and I said so! "God replied, wondering why He hadn't stoppedcreation after making the elephants.A few minutes later,God saw His children having an apple breakand He was ticked!"Didn't I tell you not to eat the fruit? "God asked.
"Uh huh,"Adam replied.
"Then why did you? "said the Father.
"I don't know,"said Eve.
"She started it! "Adam said.
"Did not! "
"Did too! "
"DID NOT! "
Having had it with the two of them,God's punishment was that Adam and Eveshould have children of their own. Thus the pattern was set and it has never changed.
BUT THERE IS REASSURANCE IN THE STORY! If you have persistently and lovingly tried to give children wisdom and they haven't taken it,don't be hard on yourself. If God had trouble raising children, what make s you think it would bea piece of cake for you?
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT!1. You spend the first two years of their lifeteaching them to walk and talk. Then you spendthe next sixteen telling them to sit down and shut up.
2. Grandchildren are God's rewardfor not killing your own children.
3. Mothers of teens now know whysome animals eat their young.
4. Children seldom misquote you.In fact, they usually repeat word for wordwhat you shouldn't have said.
5. The main purpose of holding children's partiesis to remind yourself that there are childrenmore awful than your own.6 We childproofed our homes, but they are still getting in.
ADVICE FOR THE DAY:Be nice to your kids. They will choose yournursing home one day.
AND FINALLY:
IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF TENSIONAND YOU GET A HEADACHE,DO WHAT IT SAYSON THE ASPIRIN BOTTLE:
"TAKE TWO ASPIRIN"AND "KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN"!!!!!
Don't Quit
